Research plan and tasks to be executed by the research team
The purpose of the work on the project proposal is to acquire new knowledge in researching the impact of stress
on the cardiac health of professional and amateur athletes.
The work program – the implementation of the following tasks is foreseen:
WP 1: Project Management.
WP 2: Survey of global research experience on the issues of studying the impact of stress on the cardiac health
of professional and amateur athletes, as well as on simulating stressful conditions through 3D extreme games.
It is planned to publish 2 scientific publications in journals or in the materials of scientific conferences.
WP 3: Modelling, Algorithmizing and Creating 3D Extreme Games. It is planned to publish 3 scientific publications
in journals or in the materials of scientific conferences.
WP 4: Conducting mathematical linear and non-linear analysis of cardiac data registered in stressful situations.
Statistical ROC analysis of the obtained results. It is planned to publish 5 scientific publications in journals or in the
materials of scientific conferences.
WP 5: Dissemination and promotion of project results, by organizing 2 scientific seminars and printing brochures
and materials.
Project implementation schedule
Project management plan
The project team will be responsible for the implementation of the project activities.
The project activities are distributed among the members of the scientific team as follows:
-
Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Penio Dimitrov Lebamovski, IR-BAS – project leader.
Scientific tasks – Coordination of scientific research. Creation of a 3D extreme game model.
Development of algorithms to create the game. Participation in the development of a methodology for determining
the fractal and multifractal properties of cardiac signals registered in different stressful situations.
Organization of publication activity.
-
Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Krasimir Yordanov Cheshmedzhiev, IR-BAS – specialist.
Scientific tasks – Algorithmization of graphic and wavelet methods for HRV analysis before and after a
stressful situation. Assessment of the impact of stress on HRV and statistical processing of the obtained results.
Publishing activity.
-
Assistant Professor, Ph.D. Miroslav Trifonov Dechev, IR-BAS – specialist.
Scientific tasks – Due to his limited scientific experience (only 9 months), this postdoctoral fellow,
together with the project leader, will take part in developing algorithms for creating a 3D game, as well as in
organizing 2 scientific seminars. Publishing activity.
-
Ekaterina Popovska-Slavova, part-time doctoral student at IR-BAS.
Scientific tasks – The doctoral research is directly related to this project proposal, as part of the
mathematical apparatus used in economic data analysis will be applied. She will study possible connections
between the fractal (multifractal) properties of HRV and the influence of stressful situations during training
and as a result of a 3D game. Comparative analysis of the obtained results. Publishing activity.
-
Yoan-Alexander Bogdanov Tsanev, student at the Technical University, Varna.
Scientific tasks – Creation and maintenance of a WEB site for the project. Assistance in statistical
processing of the data and organization of 2 scientific seminars.
